Cinema4d - Prototypes

For this project we were to create 3D prototypes which would be useful when designing packaging for a client. The basics where given to us by Jay, i.e the shapes we needed in order to create the objects when using the Lathe tool. The reflectance tab was a key part of todays workshop as when adding a shiny surface, it helps makes the object look more realistic due to the added depth and texture.  I then designed some packaging for the carton. Using the brand Nature valley I design a cereal box which was called 'Healthy Oaty Stuff'

AfterEffects - The Hand

I first began by drawing the same image of a ninja three times. Due to the terrible quality of the photographs of the images I wanted to animate I decided to use illustrator to image trace each individually to improve the quality. I would usually use a scanner but did not have access to a working one at the time. When using my Mac at home I had an issue exporting jpegs from illustrator which would then work in AfterEffects. Although I could not figure out the reasoning I copied the ninjas over to photoshop and saved them as jpegs, which then worked in AfterEffects.  It was key to import the three jpegs into AfterEffects at the same time, when more than one file was selected the option 'importer JPEG sequence' was given to me. This was mean the images would be imported as a sequence so therefore I ticked it. Once the file has been imported I need to go to the 'File' dropdown menu at the top of the screen and select 'Interpret Footage' 'Main...'

Self Publishing - Stencils

This class was one which meant we were doing a lot of physical work. We were asked to pick a piece of paper out of a hat and then create a stencil which would explain to the audience what your word was with explanation. I received the word 'worker' although at first I thought of workers in fields which where physically demanding the stereotype is not something I wanted to settle with. I draw a fist holding a hammer and pencil. We then had to select another piece of paper. This time it was a sentence and we were tasked with creating a typographical stencil to overlay onto our previous image 'Gonna bring you down'  The outcome is below
