Cinema4d - Premiere Pro Presentation

Using the images provided we created a presentation using premiere pro. This is a software I have used in the passed but not extensively. After opening the Adobe software I created a new project and specified a location in which to save the file. I needed to create a new sequence; 'File' 'New Sequence' name the sequence and then select the preset  'HDV 1080p'  I imported the images using the 'Cmd I' and locating the files I wanted. I then dragged my first image onto the timeline, before adding a few more into the sequence. I used the same image for the opening and ending of my presentation. Selecting the first image on my timeline, I search for Blur in the Effects menu, and added Gaussian Blur effect. I sat the 'bluriness' to 30 and applied it to the beginning of the first image in the presentation. I applied 'default transitions to the beginnings and ends of all the images.  We were asked to add a title slide, selecting the type too...

Cinema4d - 3D Character

I first created a cube using the dimensions 400x100x200 and added segments 2x1x1. So I could see the segments I had to turn on 'Gourd Shading (lines)' which meant the separate polygons were visible. I right hand clicked on the object and when to 'make editable which means that I would be able to edit the object.  Making the centre two points selected using the points section tool I dragged it down 50/60 centimetres. I rotated round so I could see the top faces. In the tool bar I selected the faces two and selected the top two faces to begin to add more polygons onto my object. Right clicking brings up a menu, I selected extrude. When using the the extrude tool you would think you just drag the mouse in the direction you want extruding. This is not the case, to extrude correctly you need to drag the object to the right hand side while still holding the mouse button. I first extruded above what I alread...

Cinema4d - Prototypes

For this project we were to create 3D prototypes which would be useful when designing packaging for a client. The basics where given to us by Jay, i.e the shapes we needed in order to create the objects when using the Lathe tool. The reflectance tab was a key part of todays workshop as when adding a shiny surface, it helps makes the object look more realistic due to the added depth and texture.  I then designed some packaging for the carton. Using the brand Nature valley I design a cereal box which was called 'Healthy Oaty Stuff'

Cinema4d - Textures and Patterns

During this class we looked into surfaces, deformers, particles and textures. My outcome is based on twisted geometry: I wasn't completely happy with the outcome of  this workshop as at the end it looks as if the balls have gotten stuck. and don't move in the way I wanted them too. Cinema4d - Logo

Today's lesson was the first time that I have ever played around with Cinema4D so it was all completely new. I learnt the basics of how to use the lights and cameras. I first created a logo using my initials but the file corrupted so was not able to render.  My second attempt I used some of my work from the 'Speculatry Futures'. On my timeline of women rights I created a diamond ring in illustrator, I then imported this file into C4d. My next step was to work out how to extrude the object. Adding a background and floor means that the ring will look like its in a space when rendering it out. I added a camera onto my composition to film the ring 360 degrees. Lighting was next on the list to do to ensure my object was visable. Before rendering I checked all the settings to make sure my final piece would look correct. Once happy I rendered out and added the clip onto my Vimeo account.  Workshop 1- dimond ring from Jade Holmes on Vimeo .
